ARKIV 360
Digitization Platform for Cultural Institutions
Led the design and implementation of the electro-mechanical digitization table, ARKIV360, for scanning large format artwork and documents for archival applications, achieving over 100,000+ scans for institutions across Ontario.
Project Contributions:
Mechanical, electrical engineering, and firmware development for the table top.
Conducted motor sizing calculations and motor selection to ensure smooth operation of the driven load.
Created Solidworks models and assemblies, producing mechanical drawings to communicate design intent for each component, including fabrication and assembly steps.
Developed the remote control terminal featuring start, stop, power disconnect, and emergency stop buttons.
Created detailed schematics, wiring layout, integrated fuses and power regulators, ensuring the system met safety and performance standards, culminating in successful UL certification.
